Amadeus Wallet — Support
Welcome, and thanks for using Amadeus Wallet — a non-custodial (self-custody) mobile wallet for the Amadeus (AMA) blockchain. "Self-custody" means one simple thing: you hold your keys, and only you control your funds. There is no Amadeus account to sign up for, no email or password on our servers, and no company sitting between you and your crypto.
This page explains how the wallet works, how to stay safe, and what to do when something goes wrong. If you can't find your answer below, get in touch.
The one thing to read first ⚠️
When you create a wallet, the app shows you a recovery phrase (a list of words, shown only once) and asks you to set a password. Together with your device, these are the only things that can access your funds.
Nobody at Amadeus can recover your wallet for you. We never see your recovery phrase, your password, or your keys — they live only on your phone. If you lose your recovery phrase and you lose access to your password/device, your funds are gone permanently. No support ticket, reset, or email can bring them back.
Write your recovery phrase down, store it somewhere safe and offline, and never share it with anyone.
That's the trade-off of true self-custody: total control, total responsibility. The rest of this page helps you handle that responsibility with confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Amadeus Wallet? Is it custodial?
Amadeus Wallet is a self-custody (non-custodial) wallet for the Amadeus (AMA) blockchain. Your private keys and recovery phrase are generated on your device and never leave it. We don't hold your funds, we can't freeze them, and we can't move them — only you can, using your password or Face ID on your phone. There's no account, no login, and no KYC.
How do I create or import a wallet?
When you first open the app, you'll choose one of two paths:
- Create a new wallet. The app generates a fresh recovery phrase and shows it to you once. Write it down in order, then confirm it on the next screen so we know you've saved it. Finally, set a password.
- Import an existing wallet. Enter your existing recovery phrase, then set a password for this device.
Your password encrypts all of your account seeds locally in a single secure "vault," so one password unlocks everything on this device.
How do I send AMA?
- Open your wallet and tap Send.
- Enter the recipient's address, paste it, pick someone from your address book, or tap the camera icon to scan their QR code.
- Enter the amount and review the details.
- Confirm. The transaction is signed on your device and broadcast to the Amadeus network.
If you try to send to an address that appears on the network's known-malicious/blacklist, the app will warn you before you continue. (This check is a safety net that "fails open" — if it can't reach the list, it won't block an honest transaction — so always double-check the address yourself.)
How do I receive AMA?
Tap Receive. The app shows your address and a QR code. Share either one with the sender, or let them scan the QR code. You can safely share your receiving address publicly — it's like an email address for payments, and sharing it never exposes your funds.
How do I add another account?
You can hold multiple accounts under the same password. Go to Settings → Accounts to add a new one. Every account is protected by the same vault password, so there's nothing extra to memorize — and all of them are still backed up by your original recovery phrase.
I forgot my password. How do I get back in?
There is no password reset, because we never store your password — that's what keeps your wallet private. Your options are:
- Remember or retrieve your password and unlock normally, or
- Use the "Forgot password" → reset & wipe option. This erases the wallet from this device, then lets you restore it by re-importing your recovery phrase and setting a new password.
You can only recover after a wipe if you still have your recovery phrase. Without it, wiping is permanent. Make sure your phrase is safely written down before you reset.
How do I back up my wallet?
Two ways, and it's worth doing both:
- Recovery phrase (essential). This is your master backup. Write it on paper (or steel), store it offline in a safe place, and never store it as a screenshot, photo, or plain text in the cloud. You can view it again anytime under Settings → reveal recovery phrase (protected by Face ID).
- Vault backup (convenience). You can export an encrypted backup of your vault and later import a vault backup in Settings to restore on a device.
The recovery phrase is the only thing guaranteed to restore your funds anywhere, so treat it as the source of truth.
Is Amadeus Wallet safe?
We've built it around a few core principles:
- Keys stay on your device. Private keys and seeds are stored using Expo SecureStore, backed by the iOS Keychain / Secure Enclave, and gated by Face ID.
- No servers hold your funds. There's no Amadeus account and no custody — we literally cannot access your money.
- Layered protection: unlock with password or Face ID / biometrics; auto-lock after inactivity; a privacy overlay hides your screen when the app is in the background; screen-capture protection; copied secrets are auto-wiped from the clipboard; and unlock attempts are throttled with an escalating lockout to slow down anyone guessing your password.
- Sensitive actions are gated. Revealing your recovery phrase or private key requires biometric authentication.
The biggest risk to your funds isn't the app — it's losing your recovery phrase or falling for a scam. Guard your phrase, and never share it.
What networks are supported?
Amadeus Wallet connects to the Amadeus (AMA) blockchain, using Mainnet by default. Advanced users can switch networks (including Testnet or a custom RPC URL) under Settings → Networks. By default the app talks to the public Amadeus RPC node at mainnet-rpc.ama.one.
Can I buy, swap, or trade crypto in the app?
No. Amadeus Wallet is a pure wallet: there's no in-app trading, swap, exchange, or "buy crypto" / fiat on-ramp. It stores your keys, shows your balance and history, and lets you send and receive AMA. That keeps the app simple and focused on custody.
What data does the app collect?
None. There's no account, no email or login, no KYC, no analytics SDK, no ads, and no crash-reporting SDK. Your keys and vault stay on your device. The app does make a few network requests to make the wallet work:
- Reading balances/history and broadcasting your signed transactions to the public Amadeus RPC node (
mainnet-rpc.ama.one). - Checking recipient addresses against the network's malicious-address blacklist (also at
mainnet-rpc.ama.one).
The app also uses your camera (only to scan address QR codes) and Face ID (only to unlock the app and authorize revealing secrets). For full details, see our Privacy Policy at ama.one.
How do I reset or delete the wallet?
Go to Settings → Reset wallet (or use "Forgot password" → reset & wipe from the lock screen). This removes the wallet and its keys from your device. To fully remove the app, delete it from your phone as you would any other app.
Resetting or deleting is permanent and erases your keys from the device. You can only restore afterward if you still have your recovery phrase. Confirm it's safely backed up first.
A quick self-custody safety checklist
- ✅ Recovery phrase written down and stored offline (never a screenshot or cloud note).
- ✅ Password memorized or stored in a trusted password manager.
- ✅ You've verified you can read your phrase back correctly.
- ✅ You'll never share your phrase, private key, or password — with anyone, ever.
- ✅ You double-check recipient addresses before every send.
Stay in control, stay safe — and welcome to Amadeus. 💚
